The Borough Office is open Monday through Friday 9-2. We are closed on the following Holidays: New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Pick-up is every Wednesday. If a Major Holiday falls on or before pick up day, pick-up will be the following day. The holidays are New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Four bags/Containers per home.

If you need to dispose of a large item (sofa, chair, mattress, desk, etc) you will need to contact Waste Management at 610-440-3700 (Account # 603-6589) to arrange for pick up.  There will be an additional charge for this service.

Recycle day is on Every Thursday Morning! If a major holiday falls on or before recycling day, pick up will be the following day. The holidays are Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, New Years Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Memorial Day.

You can take your yard waste to the South Heidelberg Drop off Site Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm (after daylight savings 8am-8pm) and Sunday 1pm-5pm IF you have purchased an access card for the site.

If you do not have an access card and are interesting in purchasing one, you can contact South Heidelberg Township at 610-678-9652.

• Go past the old Eisenhauer building
• Take the first left onto Point Road
• Drop off is on the right

Also, the Borough provides a curbside Yard Waste pick up twice a year.  Usually in June and October.  Watch for information in your newsletter or call us for the dates.

Permits are required by the borough for the following:

• Sidewalks
• Driveways
• Swimming Pools
• Fences
• Sheds
• Additions and changes to the structure of the home
